Theatresports is the most popular form of impro-theatre and is experiencing a boom throughout the world.
The idea of theatresports is to combine theatre and sports: two teams improvise scenes and songs in competition. They go on stage without prefabricated text or stage direction to match in the art of improvisation.
The proposals for what is to happen on stage come from the audience. For example, a viewer could propose a Shakespearean drama on the topic ?misplayed penalty in a final? or an opera about the career of Pelé.
The viewers don't just influence the events on stage, they decide through a vote which team they liked more and nominate the winner of the evening.
A moderator leads through the evening, a musician accompanies the actors and an umpire supervises that all is done in the compliance with the rules.
